Troubleshooting the SI Joint: 3 Part Workshop Series

ENROLL HERE TO GET INSTANT ACCESS TO MY THREE PART WORKSHOP SERIES: TROUBLESHOOTING THE SI JOINT.

Do you have SIJ troubles and you want to better understand WHY, and WHAT to do? You’ll find some useful tools in this series.

This series was created to help you better understand what the SI joint is anatomically, how to self-assess yours (statically, and in motion), and explore how the SIJ coordinates with the rest of the body while you walk, based on Gary Ward’s AiM model of the gait cycle.

Here’s a 60 second snippet, from part 1:

What’s covered in Troubleshooting the SIJ?

PART 1: What is the SI Joint? What movements of the pelvis create SIJ compression and decompression? How can we assess this? And a movement exploration to bring awareness to our pelvis motion and restore all movement possibilities that should be available to it.

PART 2: What lower body influences could be contributing to SIJ crankiness? How do movements of the feet, legs, and hips impact on how our SIJ feels?

PART 3: What upper body influences could be related to how your SIJ feels? How do movements above from the spine and ribcage play into how our SIJ feels, in terms of compression and decompression?

Understanding compression/decompression in three dimensions at the SIJ is our big theme. Here’s another snippet from the assessment in part 1 that helps you understand if your SIJ issues are due to compression or decompression:

These three sessions were originally Movement Deep Dive sessions that I do live for my Liberated Body students. I do a different Movement Deep Dive session every month, into a new area of the body, to explore how it moves through the gait cycle, so you can get your body moving better.

To do more sessions like this, join my all-access monthly membership (Movement Detective School), which gives you access to all weekly classes, and the complete archive of all past classes, going back to May 2020, and reduced rates on premium online services, like gait analysis, and 1:1 AiM movement sessions 🙂
